Connect with your Inner Warrior and Inner Peace
“To know yourself as the being underneath the thinker, the stillness underneath the mental noise, the love and joy underneath the pain, is freedom, salvation, enlightenment”
In an era of many weapons of mass distraction and more, better and bigger sometimes it can be difficult to give ourselves the time to truly connect within, the key to both happiness and realising our potential. This weekend in the scenic surrounds of the Holistic Gardens, Shercock, Cavan (just 1 hour from Dublin) is a wonderful opportunity to give yourself a weekend gift of connection, enjoyment, and reflection; a weekend to recharge, relax and reset. Led by Calodagh McCumiskey you will experience and gain practices for mind, body and spirit connecting you to your inner fire, and helping you be more deeply peaceful, focused and happier day to day.
The weekend starts on the longest total lunar eclipse of the century and the full moon of Guru Purnima which is a very powerful day annually for spiritual practice and growth. (See below). This will set the tone for a weekend of connection with Self and Source and deep nourishment for mind and soul. The weekend will also include light yoga and mindful movement (suitable for all levels), various types of meditation (breath, mantra, movement etc), reflection, fun and relaxation helping you to strengthen your inner-fire and motivation for life. You will enjoy delicious vegetarian food and great company in the beautiful setting of the Holistic Gardens, Shercock as we rejuvenate mind, body and spirit throughout the weekend.
Friday evening post food and welcome, we will enjoy a special meditation to celebrate Guru Purnima.
About Guru Purnima and the evening Meditation
Guru Purnima is the annual full moon in which people in India, traditionally honour their spiritual Teachers and celebrate their spiritual Journey. This day marks the first peak of the lunar cycle after the peak of the solar cycle.
The Origins of Guru Purnima
Traditionally in India the day, is dedicated to the memory of the great sage Maharshi Veda Vyasa. This ancient saint edited the four Vedas and wrote the 18 Puranas, the Mahabharata, and the Srimad Bhagavatam. Dattatreya and was regarded as the guru of gurus.
Symbolically, this is a very good time to begin spiritual lessons and deepen spiritually, thus spiritual seekers around the world traditionally begin intensifying their spiritual sadhana / Practice —their pursuit of spiritual goals—on this day. This naturally is an ideal day for us to start our retreat and journey within.
Deeper self and soul connection will awaken you more deeply to Your inner fire, inner warrior self and a deep peace preparing you for outward positive change and transformation in the coming months.
Participants should reach around 4pm on Friday and the programme will conclude with lunch on Sunday.
